Dear teachers, dear students,
Today, like every day, I was at the dojo. I observed the deep and powerful movement that heals the wounds due to the long winter light.
Time is passing and with it, spring is coming. It carries the ever-renewed promise of nature’s rebirth and the replenishment of our souls.
The birds singing seems clearer; the flowers are plentiful and challenge our consciences. Even the simplest grass has been embellished with violets, pansies and daffodils. The forest rustles under the wind’s strokes. Everything seems to be coming together, showing us the way: to happiness for being alive, for being endowed with feelings, for the gift of self.
As the sun shines for all, saints, ordinary men and criminals, this flow of beauty, of the living soul, knows no restraint.
During this period, when we may be fantasizing our imprisonment, we have the opportunity to further open our hearts and let the deep breath of the world enter us.
I wish to share with you these few flowers from our dojo that, although held firmly to the ground, express themselves so freely.
